Tom Brady jokes about height difference with Victor Wembanyama after dinner in New York

Everyone can relax. Victor Wembanyama is well-versed on Tom Brady.

The No. 1 overall choice in the NBA Draft and San Antonio Spurs post player dined with the seven-time Super Bowl champion on Tuesday.

There was some speculation about how much the French rookie, who is a tremendous soccer fan, would know about the American football player, who isn't a European fixture.

"I know about Tom Brady," Wembanyama said to reporters on Tuesday.

Wembanyama visited with Brady as the #1 choice was set to make his Madison Square Garden debut for the Spurs against the New York Knicks.

"It feels really good to see successful but happy people," Wembanyama told Joe Vardon of The Athletic. "He just looks like he is happy with the life he's got, and he makes other people around happy."

Brady uploaded the shot on Instagram, making fun of not just his height discrepancy with the 7-foot-4 rookie, but also that of his former teammate Julian Edelman.

Michael Rubin, who attended a meal with Brady and Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud in October, was responsible for bringing Wembanyama

and the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers signal caller together. According to a Spurs official, Rubin, the millionaire co-owner of Fanatics, organized the meal and was once again there.

"I really liked the vibe from him, very humble and interesting, but also interested [in other people]," Wembanyama remarked in an interview.
