Tatum on Eddie House's weak magic

Eddie House may be responsible for the Celtics' Friday night TD Garden workload. The 16-7 Orlando Magic, third in the Eastern Conference, have won four straight against Boston since October.

Why do the Magic keep beating the C's? Magic guard Cole Anthony remarked on ESPN's Lowe Post podcast that House inspires him.

We were nicknamed a trash squad when we played them twice in Boston early last season. "We still take that personally," Mr. Anthony said of the former Celtics guard and NBC Sports Boston commentator.

Anthony called House, "If I'm the one that's motivating you and I haven't been played since 2011, then there's an issue there". Celtics players' 2008 champion gifts thoughts Free Orlando bulletin board items

After Thursday's win over the Cavaliers, Abby Chin questioned Jayson Tatum about the incident. Looks amused.

"I missed Eddie's comment. "That's my guy," Tatum said. My hero is Eddie. "They have gotten the best of us the last couple matchups, so it's going to be a big test for us tomorrow on a back-to-back."

Celtics lead NBA at 18-5 after six wins in seven and 12-0 at home. They've won 19 home regular-season games since March, their longest streak since 1987.

The Magic want to snap their slump Friday night. NBC Sports Boston's Celtics-Magic coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with 7:30 tip-off.
