James Casts Doubt on Flu Game Myth, Gives Props to Reaves for 28 Point Outing

The Los Angeles Lakers achieved a historic feat when they won the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament.

Austin Reaves played a crucial role in this monumental victory.

Even though there were doubts about his health, Reaves changed the tide of the Finals matchup with the Indiana Pacers.

News broke before the game started that Reaves was still game-ready despite suffering an illness, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

Fans couldn't help but make light of the situation by comparing Reaves to the great Michael Jordan, who memorably competed in the 1997 NBA Finals despite being sick with the flu.

Fans wanting to see Reaves' performance were already on the edge of their seats when he started the last encounter on the bench.

As soon as Reaves stepped onto the field, it was clear that his injury would not hinder his performance.

He sparked the Lakers' offense and led them to a decisive victory over the Pacers.
