Dak Prescott's body is on the line for the Cowboys' offense.
FRISCO, Texas (KTRK) -- A large bandage covered his left elbow, and he had a few obvious welts on both arms. Dak Prescott clung firmly to the lectern
as he spoke, struggling for words following the Dallas Cowboys' 28-23 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Prescott was physically and emotionally exhausted, as he is after the weekly referendums on how he played, what sort of quarterback he is, and what type of quarterback he can be.
"Dak is a freaking warrior," Micah Parsons, a linebacker, said. "There were several times when I thought, 'That's Dak mother eff Prescott.'
He's a canine. He's a fighter. I have a tremendous amount of faith in him.
He played an excellent game, in my opinion. People should respect him more, in my opinion. Today, he outplayed everyone."
Prescott passed for 374 yards on 29 of 44 attempts against the Eagles, a season best. He completed three touchdown passes. He also gained 14 yards on six runs and was sacked five times
for a loss of 41 yards. It was his greatest throwing yards in a game since a 375-yard performance on Thanksgiving Day in 2021.
He became the first Cowboys quarterback to have at least 350 passing yards and three touchdowns in ten consecutive games.
It was his sixth game with more than 300 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions, but it was his first loss.
