Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys wowed by Martavis Bryant’s size, speed

The Dallas Cowboys did not conduct a regular practice on Wednesday because coach Mike McCarthy decided to keep things light due to the late return from Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The team flight arrived around midnight. However, there was a buzz in the locker room, almost like a Bigfoot sighting, due to newly signed practice squad receiver Martavis Bryant.

Dak Prescott, the Cowboys' quarterback, has yet to meet the 6-foot-4, 211-pound receiver

but all he knew was that he was huge and remembered a text message from former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant praising the arrival of the former Pittsburgh Steelers standout who has been out of the NFL since 2018.

because of repeated infractions of the substance abuse policy.

CeeDee Lamb hadn't seen Bryant yet, but teammate receiver Michael Gallup told him he was massive.

And, true to their word, as Bryant went into the locker room for the first time to speak with the media, he cut a towering figure.

Bryant, who was clearly anxious, was more gracious and appreciative than imposing.

Bryant was visibly relieved to be back in the NFL locker room. Bryant joined with the Cowboys practice squad on Tuesday

only a few days after being reinstated by the NFL after being suspended indefinitely in 2018 for numerous violations of the league's substance usage policy.
