Aaron Rodgers injures his left Achilles tendon in his first series for the Jets

Aaron Rodgers' rookie season with the New York Jets lasted only four snaps.

And now the four-time MVP and his stunned fans must wait to discover how long he will be out.

Rodgers damaged his left Achilles tendon when he was sacked by Buffalo's Leonard Floyd and fell awkwardly

on his leg during Monday night's 22-16 overtime win over the Bills, according to coach Robert Saleh.

"He's worried about his Achilles." The MRI will most likely confirm our suspicions, so please keep us in your thoughts tonight. But it's not good," Saleh remarked solemnly.

Rodgers, 39, will get an MRI on Tuesday, according to Saleh, after X-rays during the game were negative.

"I don't hurt for myself, and I don't hurt for our locker room," Saleh added. "I feel bad for Aaron and how much he has spent in this.

I'm going to pray now. I'm still holding out hope. But my heart is with Aaron right now, not with anyone else."
